Economic Development Summit
WHEREAS there is an on-going need to enhance economic development opportunities in the Mushkegowuk Region; and
WHEREAS the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted many Mushkegowuk First Nation organizations; and
WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council does not currently have an Economic Development Department;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk directs Mushkegowuk Council to work with regional economic development organizations to explore the possibility of hosting an economic development summit for the Mushkegowuk First Nations to develop regional economic development strategies including the feasibility of developing a Mushkegowuk Business Association to assist and promote Mushkegowuk businesses.
