Mushkegowuk Council and National Association of Remote Communities
WHEREAS the National Association of Remote Communities has been established to serve as an advocacy voice for remote Indigenous communities in Canada, on issues such as the increased costs of delivering social services in remote communities and other issues; and
WHEREAS representatives of Mushkegowuk Council have attended a recent NARC conference and reported back to this Assembly with a positive assessment of the benefits of Mushkegowuk Council joining NARC;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chiefs and delegates of this 36th Annual Mamowihitowin support a request to the National Association of Remote Communities for acceptance of membership by Mushkegowuk Council in NARC;
